Ann Thanaraj, MD

Dr. Ann Thanaraj is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology with an additional qualification in emergency medicine. She undertook her medical studies at the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania, from 2005 to 2011, where she also earned her doctorate in 2011.

Dr. Thanaraj’s clinical career began at the Heidelberg University Hospital in the Department of Cardiology, Angiology, and Pulmonology, where she worked from 2012 to 2014. She then joined Gesundheit Rhein Neckar at Klinik Eberbach, focusing on internal medicine with a specialization in cardiology from 2014 to 2019. During this period, she gained an additional qualification in emergency medicine in 2017 and has been actively serving as an emergency physician in the Rhein-Neckar-Odenwald region.

In 2019, Dr. Thanaraj achieved a specialist certification in internal medicine and cardiology. Since October 2019, she has been an integral part of the team at the Center for Vascular Diseases and Preventive Medicine at the ATOS Clinic.

Dr. Thanaraj is proficient in multiple languages, including German, English, Romanian, Italian, and Malay, allowing her to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population. She is an active member of several professional societies, including the German Society of Cardiology (DGK), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the German Society of Internal Medicine (DGIM), and the Working Group of Emergency Physicians.
